Residency & Cultural Exchange

Artist Residency Program

YAZU participates in a China-based Artist Residency Program as a committee member and funding partner, supporting international artistic exchange through curatorial, institutional, and non-profit collaboration.

Each year, YAZU offers a single residency invitation, developed in partnership with a selected art institution, non-profit organization, or curatorial platform. The invited artist is nominated or recommended through this collaborative framework, ensuring strong curatorial alignment and meaningful cultural engagement.

The residency is conceived as a focused artist residency, offering comprehensive support for artistic research and creation. Support includes travel assistance, accommodation, dedicated studio facilities, and a creation stipend. The residency period is a minimum of two months.

As part of the residency framework, a portion of the artworks created during the residency contributes to the institutional collection of the local Art Center, supporting public access, cultural preservation, and long-term international exchange.

For international based partners, collaborations may be facilitated through YAZU Group LLC (non-profit project), a Delaware-registered entity, enabling streamlined partnership structures and administrative alignment where required.

Nominated artists are asked to provide a brief portfolio including:

(1)Curriculum Vitae / Resume

(2)A outline of their intended work or focus during the residency

(3)Images of recent artworks

Detailed guidelines and support information will be provided individually upon nomination. Institutions or curatorial partners interested in collaborating with YAZU are welcome to contact us directly.
